Water Service Line Replacement in Roswell

The Problem

Boyd and Rita needed a new water service line run from a newly installed water meter to their home in Roswell. The home had been relying on an existing well line for its water distribution system, and that connection needed to be capped and disconnected to meet code cross connection requirements.

Our Solution

Our team installed a 1" Type PEX(A) underground water service line from the newly installed water meter to the house. The waterline was directionally drilled through the ground and protected with a 1.5" HDPE sleeve along its full run.

Additional work included:

• Routed the waterline through the front foundation wall and basement ceiling
• Installed a PRV and shut-off valve, tying the new line into the existing water distribution system near the water filters
• Capped and disconnected the existing well water line from the home's water distribution system

The Result

• New 1" PEX water service line from meter to house, protected by an HDPE sleeve
• New PRV and shut-off valve tied into the home's water filtration system
• Well line capped and disconnected to meet code cross connection requirements
• Long-term peace of mind with a properly connected water supply
